You have to admit it definitely was a photo OP for a certain mayor. Seems like I read somewhere that there was a 6000.00 reward to find the person(s) who are doing the shootings in Walterboro, so a 20,000.00 reward to return, thankfully, a child to a undeserving parent seems fair, right?

I was wounding, are they not pressing charges against the mother in order to build trust with the Hispanic community. If this is the case it is wrong if you break the law you most be charged and lei a jury decide if she is guilty

It is very fortunate that the Child is safe. It is not an unusual thing it seems nowadays, for a irresponsible, non caring, Parent to leave a helpless child alone while they shop or go see a movie. Not only did the Mother have no regard for the well being of the Child but definitely lacks the parental capability necessary to protect the child. Not only did she leave the child unattended, but in a Running, Unlocked Car. She, the Mother, should also be Prosecuted for Child Endangerment and Neglect and DSS should investigate the Parental worthiness the Parent must have to raise children. At least the Law Enforcement Agencies were responsible enough to rescue the Child of a irresponsible parent. Good job to all involved.

LRB, good questions. They should send both parents to 'Parenting Classes" and Community Service-advising other parents about her experience. Other question, "how does a mother tell her child this story?"

I am glad the baby is back home safe, but I have just two questions. What was the mother thinking when she left her baby in the car by it self and will the mother be charged with child endangerment?
