Boeing expansion could inspire thousands of extra Lowcountry jobs outside the company

Boeing promises to bring at least 3,800 jobs to their new North Charleston plant. But, the prospect of thousands of extra spin-off jobs is just as exciting for state leaders.
If working for Boeing is not an ideal career for you, there will likely be a multitude of other options soon.

Boeing needs other industries to open plants and lines here in the Lowcountry to supply the materials used in making the planes.

These “feeder” industries will likely create line, clerical and even management positions.

The first “spin-off” jobs will come soon.

Pay state and local taxes to help support SC and local government, yes. Help the local economy toward recovery, yes. Spur 1000s of new jobs... is political bable. Walmart will be the first to profit, then the housing market by a few marked percent. Don't forget two things: Charleston lost/is losing port customers and Boeing recently went under Congressional investigation for corruption. The local Vought/Boeing group voted out the union so Boeing has little/no oversight. Now, no matter how corrupt Boeing is/isn't doesn't change how green the money is; but 1000's of 'spin off' jobs?... seriously, I'm too old to be this gulible...
