A car full of materials to cook methamphetamine lead the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Wesley Heath.
Authorities made their arrest around 6 pm on Tuesday after keeping an eye on Heath for several days. They captured him and his car at a mobile home in Carnes Crossing in Summerville. Authorities say Heath did not live at the residence on Shenandoah Lane but was trying to convince a woman there to allow him to set up a meth lab.
Besides mutiple containers of ingredients to make meth police say there was a residue in Heath’s car that comes from cooking the highly addictive drug. A disposal team was expected to arrive late in the evening from Columbia once the items were all inventoried.
Heath was charged Tuesday night with manufacturing methamphetamine but further charges for possession and distribution could also be on the way.
