ATM robber turns himself in, confesses

The man, responsible for breaking into an ATM in Berkeley County has turned himself in, after numerous news reports were aired, showing the surveillance picture.
Charles McGown turned himself into the Berkeley County Sheriff’s office, and confessed to breaking into the ATM at the Farmers and Merchants Bank, at Carnes Crossroads.
The Sheriff’s Office received numerous phone calls from the public identifying the suspect. McGown has been charged with safecracking, a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 30 years. He’s being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.
