ATLANTA (AP) - As federal health officials urge Americans to get vaccinated against swine flu, there’s an indication that the campaign will run into some resistance.

A poll by the Associated Press and GfK suggests that a third of parents don’t want their kids vaccinated.  Some say they’re worried about side effects, even though nothing serious has turned up in tests so far. Others don’t see the swine flu as much of a threat.

Wednesday morning, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was on news programs urging parents to get their kids vaccinated against the swine flu, calling it a “younger person’s flu.“

Sebelius says the inoculation is “safe and secure” and assured parents it “has been made exactly the same way seasonal vaccine has been made, year in and year out.“
