Florida teen charged with murder after allegedly showing victim’s body to friends

A Tampa, Florida teen is accused of killing a man, hiding his body in a closet, and showing it off to friends.

The 16-year-old suspect appeared in court Tuesday, charged with first degree murder as an adult.

Investigators say he hit Thomas Johannesen over the head with a whisky bottle earlier this month when he and a friend were in Johannesen’s apartment.

The two are accused of then suffocating the 34-year-old husband and father.

According to investigators, they then put Johannesen’s body in a closet, and returned to show it to friends.

A judge ordered the 16-year-old held without bond.
