A Florida father is behind bars after beating a man accused of molesting his son.
Manuel Vega was charged with murder after he and neighbor Krish Carter attacked Luke Petruschke, a former friend who had recently stayed at Vega’s home.
Petruschke was placed in a medically induced coma after the beating.
Vega and his family called police as soon as they learned that Petruschke may have assaulted his son, but relatives say he was “overcome by rage” and couldn’t wait for officers to arrive before confronting his former friend.
Police say Petruschke will face charges of lewd and lascivious molestation if he recovers.
