This Halloween, the witching hour will be striking the clock a little early this year. Instead of waiting til dark, ghouls, goblins and all things spooky will be parading the streets of Charleston.

Saturday, children ages two to ten as well as pets dressed in their finest Halloween costumes will be part of the goblins and gourds Halloween parade. The parade will start at 11 am, at the main stage and continue through the center of Marion Square.

If your looking for a scare, then come out to Boone Hall’s fright night. there is the bloody Mary’s haunted manor, night of the zombies, screaming woods haunted hayride and night stalkers haunted corn field. Tickets are priced from five to ten dollars and its just $25 for an all you dare to scare pass which includes all four attractions.

From 1:00pm - 5:00pm, this Saturday, is the pageant for paws. Dress up your furry best friends in a spooktacular costume, bring them down for a Halloween themed studio portrait by king street studios and get a free 5x7 print that will automatically enter your furry friend into the pageant competition. Winners will receive a free 16x20 signature canvas print and part of the proceeds will go back to the Charleston animal society.

The 6th Annual CCPL Trick-or-Treat (ages 11 years and younger)
Friday, October 30 from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Main Library – 68 Calhoun Street, downtown: 805-6930
Trick-or-treat your way through the library and enjoy some Halloween fun! Participants are asked to wear a costume and start their adventure in the Children’s Room.

Celebrate Halloween at the Poe Library!
Saturday, October 31 at 12 p.m.
Poe/Sullivan’s Island – 1921 I’On Avenue, Sullivan’s Island: 883-3914
Create your own mask at home and bring it to the Poe Library to be judged. Prizes will be awarded for the most original masks. Refreshments will be served.

Halloween Fright Flick: Monsters vs. Aliens
Saturday, October 31 at 3 p.m.
John L. Dart Library – 1067 King Street: 722-7550
When a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl and douses her with the alien liquid Quantonium, it turns her into a 48 foot monster. She is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. This crew of reluctant heroes is asked to save the earth from the evil alien Gallaxhar in this animated comedy. Popcorn, beverages and candy provided. Families and costumes encouraged!

Saturday Movie: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
