It’s no secret that Americans’ waistlines aren’t getting slimmer.  Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey shows the rate of severe childhood obesity tripled in the past 25 years.  We know that good habits start early and the Charleston Riverdogs are helping students get moving physically and mentally.

The Charleston Riverdogs and Charlie T. Riverdog encourage kids to succeed in school and stay active and healthy through a new program in Charleston County.  General Manager Dave Echols and Charlie joined me on My News 2 to talk about the program and expanding it in the future.
