Check out this video list of events to keep you, your children, and your pets entertained this Halloween weekend.

Here are other events happening:

The City of Charleston’s Department of Recreation and area businesses will dress up their cars for your kids to enjoy trick or treat in the park.
It’s going on tonight from 4-6 p.m. at Hampton Park.  Kids up to age 12 can enjoy climbing walls, ghost stories and magic shows.

The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry is hosting a Fall Fun House this Saturday.  Tickets are $5 at the door.

You can also trick or treat at Towne Center this Saturday, from 1-4 p.m. in Mount Pleasant.  There will be free trick or treats bags, a jump castle, face painter and balloon artists.  A doggie costume contest will begin at 2pm.  The event is open to the public and a costume is required!  Stores providing candy will have orange and black balloons on their door.

The 6th Annual CCPL Trick-or-Treat (ages 11 years and younger)

Friday, October 30 from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Trick-or-treat your way through the library and enjoy some Halloween fun! Participants are asked to wear a costume and start their adventure in the Children’s Room.

Join us for a spooky family storytime. Wear costumes, eat candy, read scary books and make a Halloween craft!

Celebrate Halloween at the Poe Library!

Saturday, October 31 at 12 p.m.

Poe/Sullivan’s Island – 1921 I’On Avenue, Sullivan’s Island: 883-3914

Create your own mask at home and bring it to the Poe Library to be judged. Prizes will be awarded for the most original masks. Refreshments will be served.

Haunted House Tour (all ages)

Saturday, October 31 at 2 p.m.

Join us for a thrilling, chilling tour through our Haunted House, featuring ghostly tales, spooky snacks and more.

Halloween Fright Flick: Monsters vs. Aliens

Saturday, October 31 at 3 p.m.

John L. Dart Library – 1067 King Street: 722-7550

When a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl and douses her with the alien liquid Quantonium, it turns her into a 48 foot monster. She is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. This crew of reluctant heroes is asked to save the earth from the evil alien Gallaxhar in this animated comedy. Popcorn, beverages and candy provided. Families and costumes encouraged!

Saturday Movie: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Saturday, October 31 at 3 p.m.

Dorchester Road Regional Library – 6325 Dorchester Road: 552-6466

The Wind in the Willows follows the wild ride of J. Thaddeus Toad, squire of Toad Hall. Then meet Ichabod Crane, the spindly schoolteacher who dreams of sweeping the lovely Katrina off her feet—until Brom Bones, the town bully, gets involved. Rated G; 68 minutes.
