One Oscar nominee and one past Oscar winner both have their talents showcased in performances out on DVD this week.
Penelope Cruz’s performance as Javier Bardem’s hovering ex-wife brought her an Oscar nomination last week.
Now, the film, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”, comes to DVD.
Scarlett Johannsen and Rebecca Hall co-star as tourists who both fall for Bardem, but Cruz’s constant presence makes a sticky situation even more complicated.
This one’s rated PG-13.
A firefighter used to saving people has to learn how to save his marriage in “Fireproof”.
Former teen idol Kirk Cameron stars in what was one of the big box office surprises from 2008.
He learns the fireman’s code, never leave your partner behind, can apply to his marriage as well.
“Fireproof” is rated PG.
It’s out of the office and on the road for Rainn Wilson in the comedy “The Rocker”.
He plays a guy who never got over being dumped by his 80s hair band, just before they hit stardom.
20 years later, when the retired rocker gets a new chance at the stardom he never had, with a teen band, Wilson’s all over it.
“The Rocker” is rated pg-13.
It’s another trip in the way back machine as the early 90’s sitcom “Blossom” debuts on DVD.
Mayim Bialik stars as the smart, perky teen with the totally funky fashion sense.

It’s back on DVD in a two-disc 45th anniversary edition.
