In ‘Bride Wars’, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are lifelong friends whose dream since they were little girls was to get married at New York’s famed romantic Plaza Hotel in June.

They decide to be each other’s maids of honors and hire a famous wedding planner played by Candice Bergen for advice.
They eventually become competitors when one of them has to move her date for her wedding to another month, due to a scheduling conflict.

Neither is willing to give up their date and so the war begins.

“Bride Wars” is inane fluff, which perpetuates every imaginable stereotype of women as just airheads. Deep down, this one’s really shallow,” said NBC News movie critic Jeffrey Lyons.
