With the academy awards coming up this Sunday, Hollywood’s trying to minimize competition with itself, so there’s little in the way of ‘new’ movies coming out this week.
But two are.
First, it’s a change of venue for that tough talking grandma in “Madea Goes to Jail”.
A high speed freeway chase and subsequent anger mismanagement issue in front of a judge land her in the clink.
That’s where she winds up befriending a young prostitute and demonstrating Madea’s unique brand of motherly love and protection.
“Madea Goes to Jail” is rated PG13.
A couple of high school football players trying to avoid summer practice instead scheme their way into cheerleader camp in the comedy “Fired Up”.
But the boys’ plans for some love em and leave em action go awry when one of them falls for a head cheerleader who can see right through their plans.
Tyler Perry once again wrote, starred and directed.
“Fired Up” is rated PG13.
