A romantic comedy, a thriller and a horror remake all hit theaters this weekend.
Isla Fisher does her part to stimulate the economy in confessions of a shopaholic.
She plays Rebecca Bloomwood, a retail addict who knows her limits her credit card “spending” limits, that is.
When the bills come due, Rebecca gets a job as an advice columnist for a financial magazine.
It’s a position that may also lead to an office romance.
“Confessions of a Shopaholic” is rated PG.
The financial system has truly run amok in “The International.”
Clive Owen is an Interpol agent trying to bring down a bank that finances illegal activities.
He teams up with a Manhattan District Attorney played by Naomi Watts.
They follow the money trail all across the globe.
Eventually the duo find themselves as the bank’s targets.
“The International” is rated R.
A fright-night legend is reborn in Friday the 13th.
This remake of the original horror classic finds a group of young adults partying at Crystal Lake until one of them disappears.
The search for the missing girl leads to an abandoned camp, and its lone inhabitant a mask-wearing killer with a machete, better known as Jason.
“Friday the 13th” is rated R.
