World markets, U.S. futures perform well on Monday

Monday’s early performance of U.S. stock futures suggests Wall Street will open higher. The futures are up modestly.
In Asia, stocks have advanced. The markets seems to be dismissing gloomy economic data and focusing instead on new government stimulus plans.
Hong Kong is among the top gainers, up 3 percent. India also is showing a healthy 4.6 percent gain. South Korea and Australia are in positive territory, as well.
Japan markets are closed today.
