80’s are on the way

We are drying out this morning after yesterday’s showers and thunderstorms. A weak disturbance rolling through the Tennessee River Valley will move through this afternoon bringing some clouds. We can’t rule out a sprinkle or two this afternoon or overnight but the chances of that are very small. Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 70’s, with some places closing in on 80 degrees. It will be a little cooler tomorrow as highs will be in the low 70’s.  Warmer weather will be with us Thursday through the beginning of next week as a ridge of high pressure builds across the eastern half of the country. Highs will warm into the low 80’s by this weekend.
