Authorities believe the pilot of a small plane has been killed after it crashed upon landing at a Minnesota airport.
The plane was engulfed in flames and destroyed after the landing Tuesday night at Crystal Airport near Minneapolis. It was not immediately known if others were on the plane, but there was no evidence of survivors.
Metropolitan Airport Commission spokesman Pat Hogan says the single-engine Sirius aircraft crashed shortly after 10 p.m., after the control tower had closed for the night.
