North Charleston Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Greentree Apartmnents on Otranto Rd.

They say at noon Saturday, the suspect came up to a mail carrier, pointed a small handgun at her, and told her to walk back to her truck.

Then the suspect demanded her purse, and fled on foot toward the Fairwind and Oakfield Apartments.

The suspect is described as african-american male, about six feet tall, and one-hundred and fifty pounds.

The victim did not suffer any injuries, and police are still looking for a suspect.

Also, the U.S. Postal Service is offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

I have would like to know way no one was willing to get involved it was just one man. If people want these kinds of thing to stop we most be willing to step up and say enough I am not going to let jerks like you get away with this. Yes he had a gun but I tell you with two or three people would have confronted him he would have ran away like a scared puppy with he tail between his leg. Just one more thing lets arm all mail carriers (I am not joking) this is only the first time we have heard about something like this but now that it is out there it is going to happen again just watch and see.
