The builder awarded the contract to build the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner plant in North Charleston may announce the major subcontractors it will use for construction this week.

Friday, Boeing announced BE&K Building Group and Turner Construction, with design partner BRPH as the lead designer and builder. The BE&K Building Group’s South Carolina regional office in Greenville will serve as the headquarters for the BE&K/Turner/BRPH design-build team, which is in the process of mobilizing the North Charleston site.

The communications director for BE&K says the individual subs will be in charge of hiring the individual workers.

According to the BE&K/Turner project executive, Mac Carpenter, Executive Vice President of the BE&K Building Group, the permits are in hand, and the team is expecting to break ground this month.

We will post the information on the subcontractors as soon as they are announced.

Just wondering if BE&K has anounced who the sub contractors are going to be for the Boeing Plant job?
